Soap Awards

Jan attended The British Soap Awards in 2009 & in 2010. She wasn't nominated for any awards in 2009 but in the 2010 Soap Awards Jan & Chris Walker, who plays Jan's on-screen husband Rob Hollins, they were both nominated for Best On-Screen Partnership, alongside; Eastenders', Patsy Palmer & Sid Owen, from Coronation Street, Katherine Kelly & Simon Gregson & Emmerdale's; Nick Miles & Nicola Wheeler. Jan & Chris swept the award away adding the second win of the night for Doctors.

In the 2011 Soap Awards, Doctors were only nominated for Best Single Episode, Best Storyline and Best British Soap. The Single Episode and Storyline Nominations came from Jan's performance as Karen, when Karen fell pregnant just before Christmas 2010 and the abortion that followed in February 2011. Unfortunately, Doctors was not victorious and went away from the awards empty-handed.
